Border Music Camp - Objectives
Border Music Camp is a week-long residential camp for around 250 musicians of all ages, from beginners to advanced
students. It is held at The Scots School, Albury, NSW, Australia.
Musicians play in one of six large ensembles:
- Davis Symphony Orchestra (Grade 4 standard and above)
- Alexander Wind Ensemble (Grade 4 standard and above)
- Hardie Wind Ensemble (Grade 1 to Grade 3)
- Newman String Ensemble (Grade 1 to Grade 3)
- Pringle Wind Ensemble (beginners)
- Cran String Ensemble (beginners)
The best way to learn music …
… is to be immersed in music-making. This is what happens at Border Music Camp.
For a week, you will live and breathe music.
Your playing will be guided by our conductors and tutors, superb musicians who are as excited and
as passionate about music as you are.
You’ll experience a wide variety of music in the elective
sessions, and you’ll hear (and possibly play) exciting new music written by our composer-in-residence.
You’ll enjoy the exhilaration of performing in public concerts.
And all of this in an unforgettable community – of musicians like you.
