50 Years of Border Music Camp

50 years of music. 50 years of friendships. 50 years of unforgettable moments.

In 2026, Border Music Camp celebrates an incredible milestone, half a century of inspiring musicians of all ages (well… technically 51 years, but who’s counting after COVID!).

For generations, Camp has been a place where music comes alive, confidence grows, and lifelong connections are made. This year, we’re not just running Camp, we’re celebrating everything it has been, and everything it continues to be.

Whether you’re a current camper, alumni, supporter, or friend, this is your invitation to be part of something truly special!

Join our alumni choir!

As part of celebrating 50 years of Border Music Camp in 2026, we are thrilled to invite former campers, tutors, committee and members to join a very special BMC Alumni Choir.

For one night only, alumni from across the generations will come together to perform during our Thursday Evening Concert, reconnecting through music, shared memories and the unmistakable spirit of camp that has united our community for five decades.

Our alumni choir featured work will be Sea of Stars by Andrew Aronowicz and Tai Heine; a breathtaking and deeply moving work that captures so much of what Border Music Camp represents: connection, belonging, wonder, friendship and the shared experience of making music together. It is a piece filled with warmth, reflection and hope, and we can’t imagine a more fitting work to celebrate our 50th camp.

Whether you sang in choir once, every year, or have not sung since your camp days, we would love you to join us.

Alumni choir participants are invited to:

  • Attend our Thursday Evening Concert and enjoy performances from our current students

  • Perform as part of the Alumni Choir

  • Stay afterwards for our Big Band Concert and continue the celebrations (…with dancing)
